Description

‍The client is seeking software engineers with a strong background with Python programming and ideally a chemistry or material science background to develop domain-specific applications. Their goal is to revolutionize industrial research and development. They’re looking for motivated engineers who can help to build out tools that will accelerate the development of new chemicals and materials.

Primary Responsibility

Your primary responsibility will be to develop data integrations for the client's customers to, for example, ingest data from lab equipment and set up automated data transfer routines. This role would primarily involve writing Python scripting.

Requirements

‍-Degree in computer science or similar

‍‍‍‍-4 courses of university-level computer science or equivalent professional experience

- Interest in a software engineering career and technology startups (Fast-paced environment)

- Experience using Python or other scripting languages to process numeric or scientific data files

- Developing custom-built scripts and working with complex external APIs

- Pass and formatting of unstructured data

Preferred Qualifications

- Knowledge of chemistry or life sciences

- Familiarity with SQL Databases

- Familiarity with Excel

- Customer service experience
