Data Engineer – 6-Month Contract (Outside IR35)

Location:Remote (UK-Based)

Rate:up to £550

WeDo are seeking a skilled Data Engineer for a six-month contract, focusing on developing a modern AWS-based data platform for a leading finance company. If you're passionate about designing scalable data solutions and working with the latest cloud technologies then this could be a great contract for you.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement data pipelines and data warehousing solutions on AWS
• Develop ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading
• Work closely with data scientists and analysts to optimise data workflows
• Ensure data quality and governance across the data architecture
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support a data-driven decision-making environment

Essential Skills:

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS (e.g., S3, Redshift, Glue, Lambda)
• Proficiency in Python or another programming language for data engineering
• Experience with ETL/ELT pipeline tools and orchestration (e.g., Apache Airflow)
• Solid understanding of relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, DynamoDB)
• Knowledge of data warehousing principles and best practices
• Snowflake experience
