Base Location: You'll be expected to spend 50% of your working week in one of the following locations : Dublin


Salary: €49,400 - €74,200 + performance-related bonus and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.


Working Pattern: Fixed Term Contract | Full Time | Flexible First options available


The Role

The Data engineer will play a key role in supporting Airtricity in the successful migration to their new billing platform, helping the programme ensure that data is accurately migrated and reconciled as well as providing support to ensuring data is modelled and understood from the new system. The role involves working closely with business analysts, business subject matter experts and the supplier to ensure data integrity, consistency, and alignment with business goals during the migration process. The role will need strong data analysis skills, complimented with good business analytical mind. They will be working with the business users to interpret their knowledge into data profiling and queries to gain insight into the data.


You Will

  • Conduct insightful data analysis and modelling, collaborating closely with business users and technical teams to identify and resolve data issues, ensuring a smooth migration for all stakeholders.
  • Lead on data profiling, validation, and thorough testing, championing data integrity and quality throughout the migration process.
  • Take an active role in documenting, reporting, and troubleshooting discrepancies, supporting both IT and business teams in driving effective solutions.
  • Work collaboratively with the programme, supplier, and analytics teams to share knowledge, support handovers, and foster strong relationships across all stakeholders.
  • Support the creation and communication of clear, detailed migration reports and findings, highlighting risks and opportunities for continuous improvement.

You Have

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large datasets.
  • Familiarity with gas/electricity billing business processes and data models (Hansen Peace model is preferred)
  • Proficiency in Oracle, SQL, data profiling, data analysis and querying databases.
  • Strong understanding of data models, schema design, and relational databases.
  • Knowledge of Event Platform, Azure Databricks and Power BI
