We are working with an ambitious national security programme within one of the UKs largest consulting firms to find a new Data engineer, focussing on data and AI. They partner with clients to deliver impactful solutions that help keep our country safe. The Role:
As a data engineer you will manage and develop pipelines transforming raw data into valuable insights for clients. You will work with diverse data sources (batch, streaming, real-time and unstructured) and apply distributed computing techniques to handle large datasets. You’ll translate technical solutions into something tangible that stakeholders can feel the value of. In an agile environment, you’ll be delivering high-impact solutions that genuinely make a difference.
Essential requirements:
• Must hold UKIC DV security clearance
• Hands-on experience ingesting, transforming and integrating data from diverse sources
• Proficient in developing and optimising ETL processes and data pipelines
• Experience with distributed computing techniques
• Knowledge of data governance e.g. data security, metadata management and data lineage tracking
• Strong system design skills for building scalable, high-performance data architectures
• Proficiency in coding with focus on modularity, reusability and efficiency
• Understanding of the full development lifecycle (SDLC), version control and CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to translate technical solutions into business outcomes and communicate value effectively
Benefits Package:
• Base Salary- £45,000-£65,000
• Bonus- 5% per annum
• DV Bonus- up to £7,000
