Job Description

Lead Data Architect 10+yrs Responsibilities Develop and maintain the architecture vision and roadmaps for the data analytics domain. Identify opportunities for the use of existing or new and innovative technologies in delivering more effective business outcomes Support the design logical and physical components of solution architectures that will enable the delivery of the required business outcome and service. Apply appropriate standards and patterns technology domains in their use and implementation. Review the work of other colleagues and suppliers Actively support and contribute to the Enterprise Architecture Profession aspects of the team function by providing insight and hands-on experience into one or more enterprise or technology concerns. Support technical and architectural requirements capture, design and assurance including injection of architectural stories into backlogs. Support identification and management of technical debt and exit plan for future remediation. Actively lead on the domain aspects of the team function by providing specialist insight and hands-on experience into one or more data and analytics application technology concerns. Technical Skills Significant experience of IT programme architecture involving dependency management and multi-supplier deliveries in an enterprise architect capacity. A practical understanding of architectural models of business and enterprise architecture, including architectural frameworks i.e. TOGAF, Scaled Agile and experience in their practical and pragmatic application. A broad understanding of the range of technologies and approaches which may be selected from to deliver required capabilities. Demonstrate the ability to identify areas where specialist input is required and to coordinate the required resources and consider their advice and input constructively in the broader context of an end to end service. An understanding of the technical implications of delivering to both on premise infrastructure and cloud (or hybrid) environments. Management skills and Experience Strong communication and stakeholder management skills & be a strong advocate of architecture practices and vision Extensive experience of working in a multi-supplier environment, both designing aspects of solutions and assuring the work of others to ensure coherent designs supporting an end to end service.
