The Opportunity

CACI is seeking a Data Analyst to assist in developing Metrics and Data Analysis products while streamlining processes in support of the NAVSEA 04X Ship Maintenance Performance Group NAVSEA04X3 Division, which focuses on Corporate Metrics, Data Analytics, and Business Process Reengineering project teams. In this role, you will be working across multiple functional teams where complex problem‑solving and communication skills are critical to success. The Data Analyst focuses on analysis and problem‑solving data challenges as they relate to the types of data and/or the relationships among data elements. Produce visualizations, reports, and supporting analysis to measure performance and make actionable insights for business partners.


This position is onsite at the Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) Portsmouth, VA. Must currently hold or be able to attain U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance (Minimum). (U.S. Citizenship is required in order to obtain a security clearance from the DoD.)


Responsibilities

  • Gather, cleanse, curate and standardize data to support sustainable and scalable data interaction, analysis and insight development.
  • Analyze large and complex data sets and support end‑users by enhancing information through developing visualizations through dashboards, metrics and user interfaces.
  • Build analytic capabilities and modify existing tools/programs to grow the organization’s knowledge and accommodate change.
  • Perform necessary data mapping, data lineage activities, document information flows and process diagrams.
  • Build data models and business glossary by gathering information from multiple sources such as business users, existing data sources, databases and other relevant documents and systems.
  • Serve as data and metric processing subject‑matter expert and demonstrate and understand key data management principles.
  • Work diligently in software development processes, software requirements, software maintenance and analyzing information.
  • Perform business and/or technical analyses to understand current customer environments (including discrepancies and inconsistencies), define customer needs, determine potential strategies, and deliver plans/proposals for process improvement opportunities and/or projects.
  • Conduct detailed analysis using established statistical methods and develop predictive models.
  • Experience compiling data for analysis and metrics, working with data analysis methodologies, and supporting tools, experience using statistical or mathematical techniques.

Qualifications

Required:



  • Bachelor's Degree and 2-3 years of Data Analysis experience.
  • Experience in project management environment.
  • Strong problem‑formulation, analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to communicate in a clear and succinct manner.
  • Moderate to strong knowledge of SQL, Oracle Databases, query generation, modification and extraction.
  • Dashboard and visualization experience in Tableau, Power BI, Qlik Sense, Python or related industry visualization software.
  • Use Microsoft 365, Power Apps or other software as needed to develop and implement metrics and dashboards.

Desired:



  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Power BI, VBA or Excel Macros, SQL, R, or similar.
  • Knowledge of automation tools in Microsoft product suites (Power Automate, SharePoint Lists, Microsoft Teams, etc.).
  • Improve efficiency by streamlining processes and automating redundant tasks using Power BI, Power Automate and available technologies.

Pay Range

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is $63,300-$129,700.
