Location: Goole
Salary: £14.40-19.25/annum (Depends on experience)
Type of role: Contract (Temporary to Permanent)

Our client is a prominent railway infrastructure company, dedicated to innovation and excellence in rail solutions. We are currently seeking a talented and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in analysing and interpreting complex data sets to empower data-driven decision-making within our organization.

Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis:
• Collect, clean, and analyse large and complex datasets to derive valuable insights.
• Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to provide actionable recommendations.

Reporting and Visualization:
• Create informative and visually compelling reports and dashboards to communicate data findings effectively to stakeholders.
• Utilize data visualization tools to present complex information in a clear and understandable manner.

Business Insights:
• Collaborate with various departments to understand business requirements and translate them into data analysis projects.
• Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.

Data Quality Assurance:
• Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency by implementing data quality checks and processes.
• Troubleshoot data issues and work to improve data quality over time.

Continuous Improvement:
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging data analysis techniques.
• Identify opportunities to enhance data analysis processes and tools for greater efficiency and effectiveness.

Experience & Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large and complex datasets.
• Proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or similar).
• Familiarity with statistical analysis techniques and tools (e.g., R, Python, or SAS) is a plus.
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts and data modelling principles.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
