Data Analyst - Commercial Consultancy and Strategy

Due to recent business growth, our national Commercial Consultancy and Strategy team are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of data management and property market research abilities to provide support in the deliver of portfolio valuations for key clients within the healthcare sector. The post holder will also play a key role in supporting our team in the provision of strategic property advice within the healthcare sector and other client groups, including local authorities, charities, museums and private sector parties.

This role would suit a someone who is keen to work with one of the leading healthcare sector surveyors in the industry and build relationships with high profile clients to enhance their own experience and reputation in the sector. There will be some travel involved and on-site inspection duties as well as connecting with an established and expanding client base, often at senior decision-making level.

Key responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of property portfolio valuations for NHS clients.
  • Conduct market research and analysis on healthcare property trends, values, and comparable data, including land sale data.
  • Manage, clean, and manipulate datasets to support valuation models and reporting.
  • Prepare clear, concise, and accurate reports and summaries.
  • Gather and interpret relevant property and market information.
  • Maintain and update property valuation records.
  • Support the Partner with ad hoc research and administrative tasks as required.
  • Engaging with internal teams and external stakeholders, including clients, valuers, and auditors.
  • Contributing to the development and implementation of new processes, leveraging technology and data insights.
  • Quickly becoming an intrinsic member of the Consultancy & Strategy team, working on a variety of instructions, and making a positive contribution to the growth of the team.

What will it take to be successful?

You will have a demonstrable interest in the public sector and a high degree of proficiency with Excel. This role requires you to have a business development-orientated attitude, with a key focus on providing excellent customer service and willingness to travel throughout England to client sites and other Carter Jonas offices. We are also looking for you to have the ability to drive business initiatives forward in a confident and personable manner whilst maintaining and establishing relationships. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a driving licence are essential.
