Overview

This is a highly driven data analyst role at 173tech, combining technical capability with a strong business focus. You will work on a range of projects, use diverse data tools, and directly impact our clients’ products and customers. You will learn and grow with our team and clients.


What You Will Do

This is a great opportunity to build broad knowledge of analytics and its immediate impact on company growth and profitability. You will work with inspirational teams on a wide range of projects. While no two clients are alike, common tasks include:



  • Advise clients on high-ROI data use cases and create implementation roadmaps to deliver business value quickly and iteratively.
  • Gather business requirements and create data dictionaries that guide project delivery.
  • Design and build efficient data models to surface business insights efficiently.
  • Implement testing to ensure trust and integrity of data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with the data engineering team on deployment and maintenance of data architectures.

Analytics

  • Deliver automated dashboards using various visualization tools.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses on topics around customer behaviors.

Who You Are
Experience & Education

  • A degree or master’s level education, ideally within a quantitative discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics).
  • 2-5 years in an analytics or engineering role.
  • Experience analysing data to drive business impact.

Strategic Skills

  • Business-focused and ability to produce actionable insights.
  • Organised, collaborative and able to deliver projects in a timely fashion.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work confidently with large datasets, understanding relationships, cardinality, and data quality issues.

Technical Skills

  • Advanced SQL skills essential.
  • Experience with visualization tools such as Metabase, Tableau, Looker and Power BI.
  • Knowledge of dbt.
  • Familiarity with data warehouses like BigQuery, Snowflake and Redshift.
  • Knowledge in another programming language such as Python or R or a keen desire to develop programming skills.

Other Skills

  • Strong ability and desire to learn.
  • Fluency in any European languages is a plus.
