Our Collections Strategy team are the ones responsible for keeping daily operations running through accurate reporting and clear data insight. Grow your potential as a Data Analyst Apprentice and help make real decisions from day one, earning a starting salary of £24,000 whilst doing it.


Make things happen

As an apprentice, you’ll work at the centre of how we analyse, manage, and understand data linked to customer arrears. You’ll be responsible for turning raw data into insights that guide how and when we reach out to our customers. As you progress through your apprenticeship, we’ll ensure you’re confident working with arrears performance data, spotting unusual trends, and explaining what the data really means so you can exceed in a data driven career at Virgin Media O2. Day‑to‑day, you could be:



  • Producing daily performance and activity reports that keep operations moving
  • Investigating shifts in arrears patterns and identifying what’s driving them
  • Reviewing customer profiles and behaviours to explain changes or emerging issues

That could mean time in the office, volunteering days, or away days – anywhere collaboration happens.


This apprenticeship gives you the opportunity to become skilled in your role, and combines on‑the‑job learning and academic study, where you’ll spend approximately 20% of your working hours completing learning with one of our training providers. The programme is fully funded by us, and we’ll support you from day one, ensuring you complete your apprenticeship with a nationally recognised qualification.

The must haves

To be eligible, you’ll need at least five GCSEs at Level 4–9 (or equivalent).


The other stuff we are looking for

We’re looking for motivated candidates who are passionate about technology and keen to help us evolve in this space. Experience with tools like SQL or Excel is a bonus but not required – what matters most is your passion to learn, attention to detail, and ability to work within a team.
