Job Description

Are you ready to make a real impact with data? We’re looking for a Data Analyst to join our Data Analytics and Reporting team within Defined Benefits. This is a newly created role designed to support growing business-as-usual demands and evolving analytical needs. You’ll be part of a collaborative and supportive team that works across a wide range of internal stakeholders, contributing to both operational reporting including areas such as pension risk transfer and strategic insights.With exposure to a variety of tools and data environments, this is a fantastic opportunity to grow your technical skills, shape reporting processes, and help drive the team’s transition from reporting to analytics.

What you’ll be doing :
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver insights
  • Designing and building dashboards and reports using visualisation tools
  • Analysing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities
  • Supporting data quality initiatives and ensuring data integrity
  • Developing and maintaining data pipelines and automated workflows
  • Communicating findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of data processes and tools
  • Applying statistical techniques to support business decision-making
QualificationsWho we're looking for :
  • Demonstrable experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualisation
  • Proficiency in SQL / SAS and at least one data visualisation tool (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) would be highly beneficial
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience
