Job objectives and responsibilities

We are seeking a Residential Data Analyst to join our Contract Management & Performance Function, supporting the Residential function to achieve compliance with contractual, MOJ, Company, legislative, and relevant standards.


As a Residential Data Analyst, you will collate, analyse, and audit performance data information in a timely manner. You will make recommendations where non‑compliance or opportunities are identified, track them to completion with the assigned employees, and escalates any concerns. You will support the development of detailed and effective action plans and provide administrative support to ensure compliance with contractual, MOJ, Company, and legislative requirements.


Additionally, you will support the development and production of performance reports, ensuring all key information is accurately recorded and reported to relevant stakeholders. You will assist in the development and monitoring of the Residential Self‑Audit process to ensure completion to the agreed action and timeframe in line with the contract. By administering version control systems, you will ensure that relevant information is processed and disseminated both accurately and on time.


Identifying trends across the residential function and investigating the root causes to understand why a trend has formed will be part of your role. You will highlight these trends to management and support them when trends are successfully identified.


Contributing to a climate of innovation and continuous improvement, you will ensure all staff are focused on meeting contractual requirements, adding value, and delivering best practices. You will provide support and advice to residential managers to ensure quality standards are met in compliance with relevant legislation. Promoting commitment and compliance with Health & Safety and Environment standards and contractual requirements will be essential to ensure they are embedded across the contract.


You will proactively assist stakeholders within the residential function, responding to questions and action points highlighted within reports from the Independent Monitoring Board (IMB), His Majesty’s Inspector of Prisons (HMIP), and the MOJ Contract Monitoring Team. Helping to build and maintain positive stakeholder relationships will be a key part of your role. Finally, you will prepare for and actively participate in preparing the Residential function of Millsike for external inspections.


Person Specification

The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail and be a clear communicator, both verbally and in written English of a high standard. They should possess intermediate to expert IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.


It is advantageous if the candidate has previous experience working in a secure environment, as well as experience in an audit or performance analyst role. Relevant experience in audit, compliance, and standards is also desirable.
