We have an excellent opportunity for a Data Analyst to join our Buying and Merchandising Department, to proactively support the Innovations and Analytics Manager in preparation and provision of Management Information to both internal and external customers.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Support in developing and delivering standard and routine Buying and Merchandising MI reports in line with the reporting calendar and in response to ad-hoc reporting requests.
  • Deliver complex ad-hoc reporting requirements in a timely fashion.
  • Support the delivery of predictive analytics
  • Participate in requirement gathering workshops.
  • Support the delivery of statistical information, interpretation of data and the presentation of Management Information to meet the needs of internal customers.
  • Collection, and management large datasets using various tools: Excel, Excel VBA, Power BI, SQL.
  • Analysis of data to ensure it is fit for purpose and feedback to customers on any issues or changes required.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the development, delivery and maintenance of Buying and Merchandising MI reporting.
  • Liaise with a wide range of staff at all levels within the Division and externally.
  • Undertake other duties as may be determined and agreed by the Innovations and Analytics Manager
  • To be committed to good outcomes for customers at all times
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable UK and local regulations, Company Policies and FCA Conduct Rules
  • Demonstrate behaviours in line with our Company values

ABOUT YOU

  • Advanced user of Excel
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in writing SQL
  • Experience in a data visualisation tool such as Power BI or Tableau
  • Numerate and comfortable working with data from multiple sources
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Able to commute to Bradford city centre

Other Relevant Experience

  • Experience in delivering projects either solo or as part of a team
  • Can interpret requirements and turn them into solutions
  • Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines with high levels of accuracy
  • Aptitude to learn new skills/software

Desirable

  • Relevant qualification demonstrating maths/statistical analysis/computer science
  • Competitor knowledge and understanding in both retail and online
  • Highly organised
