Job Title: Data Analyst (Power BI Migration)

Contract: 15-month fixed-term

Location: South Wales – ideally one day a week on-site, but flexible for the right person

Overview

We’re looking for a Data Analyst to help lead our move from Business Objects to Power BI. Over the next year or so, we’ll be migrating around 150 reports into Power BI, creating modern dashboards that are easy to use and accessible across the organisation. You’ll work closely with different teams to understand their needs, tidy up duplicate reports, and make sure the new dashboards add real value.

Responsibilities
  • Migrating and consolidating Business Objects reports into Power BI dashboards
  • Translating SQL queries (Oracle to Microsoft T‑SQL) and using Power Query for data prep
  • Working with stakeholders to gather requirements and improve report usability
  • Building dashboards in line with our existing templates and accessibility standards
  • Supporting future data warehouse and reporting developments
Qualifications
  • Good working knowledge of SQL (T‑SQL essential; Oracle experience a bonus)
  • Great communication skills and the ability to work with stakeholders across the business
  • Nice to have: experience with Business Objects, Excel, or presenting your work to others
