Data AnalystJoin an exciting and dynamic team that plays a key role in shaping the path of our business.About our team:The primary liaison between TVS and our clients’ management teams, the Account Management function is responsible for client retention, growth and contract adherence. Account Managers hold the ultimate responsibility for the commercial performance of our contracts and work with various departments across the business to bring together an excellent customer experience through service, new solutions and value to maintain strong relationships. The team has a commercial focus and plays a key role in shaping the path of our business through strategy and solution development.Our mission:Lead our business in delivering an excellent customer experience, leveraging this to drive growth in revenue and profitability through the provision of added value solutions and profitable commercial models.Your Purpose:As a Data Analyst, you will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights that drive strategic business decisions. Working across departments, you will collect, analyse, and interpret large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for optimization. Your analytical expertise will help improve operational efficiency, inform product development, and support data-driven decision-making throughout the organization. This position requires a blend of technical skills, business acumen, and strong communication abilities to effectively translate complex data findings into actionable recommendations for stakeholders.Your Main Duties & Responsibilities: * Data Collection and Management: Gather data from various sources, ensure data quality, and maintain databases * Data Analysis: Apply statistical methods and analytical tools to analyze complex datasets * Reporting: Create comprehensive reports and dashboards to visualize findings * Problem Solving: Identify business challenges and propose data-driven solutions * Stakeholder Communication: Present findings to non-technical stakeholders in clear, actionable terms * Process Optimization: Recommend improvements to data collection and analysis procedures * Tool Development: Create and maintain data analysis tools and automation scripts * Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with various departments to understand their data needs and requirements * Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of analysis methods and procedures * Data Security: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and security protocols.Though this position would be primarily office based at Chorley, applicants must be willing to travel and at times work from other locations.Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications and Experience:Essential Knowledge and Skills: * Technical Skills:Experience with systems used for data analysisFamiliarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)Basic understanding of statistical conceptsAnalysis and Problem-Solving:Analytical thinking and attention to detailBasic understanding of data cleaning and preparationAbility to identify patterns and trends in data * Business Knowledge:Understanding of basic business metrics and KPIsKnowledge of industry-standard reporting practices * Soft Skills:Strong written and verbal communicationTime management and organizationAbility to work independently and in teams * Tools and Software:Microsoft Excel (advanced functions and pivot tables)Basic version control (e.g., Git)Familiarity with data warehousing conceptsDesirable Skills:2 Years experience in a similar role / capacity undertaking data analytics.To be successful in this role you will need to be able to think creatively, maintain an optimistic and positive approach and be ready to learn.
