In the UK, Safran Seats specialises solely in the First Class and Business Class seating markets for wide body aircraft, with industrial and engineering teams in Cwmbran and Newport, Wales and Brackley, England.

The purpose of this role is to have a good grasp of the operational sectors to which you contribute to, as well as a high level of expertise in data, statistical analysis methods and data visualization. You wield IT tools, techniques and statistical methods to efficiently organize, synthesize and translate data and extract meaningful, actionable information from it to facilitate decision processes, in accordance with operational requirements.
Data Analysts support the Master Data Manager in delivering business insights that drive performance improvements and contribute to the delivery of the data 4.0 roadmap at SGB.
Data Analysts work as part of a wider network of data analysts and other data specialists within SAFRAN Seats Company sharing best practice and working on shared projects where appropriate.

Key Responsibilities will include:
 Working with business users to get a good understanding of their processes,
identifying their data analytics needs and agreeing solution options
 Creation and maintenance of data extracts, consolidation dashboards and reports to support key business use cases
 Building and monitoring of key performance indicators
 Carry out statistical analysis and data visualization
 Provide analytical support for the exploration and complex analysis of data
 Organize, summarize and translate information to facilitate decision-making
 Undertake analytical activities looking at data quality, seeking out potential
opportunities to improve data structure and maintenance processes,
implementing where appropriate.
 Present results in a relevant and usable format and explain them in easily
understandable terms for decision makers
 Ensure all process documentation and rulesets, including the data catalogue, are
kept current.

Candidate skills:
Minimum GCSE Grades A-C (or equivalent) in Maths and English
Degree qualification in a numerate subject or equivalent relevant work experience
Demonstrable experience in using SQL and other programming languages such as python and R
Good working knowledge of Power BI or similar reporting and data analysis tools
Good understanding of ERP tool concepts and the data used to support their operation
Ability to manage and prioritise stakeholder expectations at all levels ranging from end user up to C-level
An ability to communicate complex technical issues to business users
An ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic and flexible approach, as well as the ability to work under pressure
