We are looking for consultants in Data & AI to join our team to collaborate with senior leaders on shaping our priorities and approach on key opportunities to transform our business, and to innovate for our customers and clients.

 

Reporting to the Head of Data & AI Strategy, as a Data & AI Strategy Consultant you will be responsible for developing key elements of our Data & AI strategy, and shaping strategic initiatives to deliver value for our customers.   

This role acts as the bridge between cutting edge Data and AI technologies, and real-world business opportunities. Your critical thinking and expertise in Data or AI will ensure that we join the dots on key opportunities to deliver our purpose.  

 

About the role  

  • Research and share insights on emerging trends in data & AI to identify and advocate on actionable opportunities to increase customer and business value.  
  • Define key elements of the Data & AI value proposition with stakeholders, qualify strategic opportunities and assess the viability of options.  
  • Represent GDO in cross-functional teams that are working on enterprise-wide, strategic projects and initiatives, including strategic opportunities using AI to deepen customer relationships and improve our operational effectiveness.   
  • Take the lead on critical initiatives to increase our data & AI maturity, such as developing our take to market AI proposition and operating model and shaping our approach to AI adoption to ensure that colleagues are effective in adapting to new ways of working.   
  • Collaborate effectively to transition strategic opportunities from Strategy into Transformation and delivery, by working in close partnership with subject matter experts from the broader Data & AI communities of practice.  
  • Collaborate with Business, Transformation, Technology and other partners to define elements of our Data & AI Strategy and translate these into a clear, actionable roadmap for effective implementation.   

  

About You  

  • Consultancy skills: business acumen and outcomes focused mindset complemented by critical thinking and analytical skills  
  • Solid understanding of data, analytics, Generative AI and Machine Learning Operations capabilities and trends  
  • Experience in strategy development and execution or transformational leadership involving data, AI or digital (including  operating model design) with clear evidence of value creation / strategic impact  
  • Demonstrable knowledge of financial services and / or experience of working in transformation in any other high volume, regulated industry would be beneficial   
  • Outstanding stakeholder management / influencing skills all levels (including C-Suite)
