TYPE: Temporary, full-time, initially until the end of June 2026 (There is potential for extension)
WORKING HOURS: 9:00-17:00 from Monday to Friday
SALARY: SALARY: £ 350 – 400 per day depending on experience (including 25 days holiday allowance, equivalent £79500 – 90000 per annum )
START: ASAP
LOCATION: Central London (Currently hybrid working– It may change depending on the company’s decision.)

AVP - Credit Policy & Governance Main Responsibilities:
Manage the process of producing the EMEA KRI, CD KPI and other Management Information (e.g. Condition & Instruction management, Send-Back analysis, Trigger management) reports
• Guide and train junior member of staff in the team
• Provide practical solutions to all staff of EMEA (Front Offices, Rris Management Department, Operation Administration Department, The Credit Department) how to apply the bank’s credit policy and rules in day-to-day business (100-150 inquiries monthly)
• Assess in and challenge the design of management framework and reporting processes. Recommend and implement changes to framework
• Conduct robust root cause analyses across the bank on identified risk events or complaints to recommend improvements regarding the bank’s rule, procedure, sprinting IT system and application process. Produce thematic analysis on incident to propose a new rule/ procedure to the relevant department
• Manage system change projects to fix/ improve TMS (Lotus Notes), DDT, SC database, GBR, EIC, Credit Application Tracking system (web based)
• Ensure that the department has adequate written policies and procedures in place with appropriate governance over responsible areas of the department together with RMD and CIPD
• Take ownership for the timely remediation of findings raised in the operation review, first line of defence functions or third line of defence functions and working with Operation Management function of Credit Risk Policy and Operation Supervisory team to ensure that issues are appropriately resolved to prevent reoccurrence
• Provide trainings to all levels of risk functions in the bank in the area of bank’s Credit Risk Management Framework in close corroboration with relevant departments. – create training materials and deliver training on internal policy and rules. be comfortable with public speaking
• Work in partnership with enabling functions in the Bank to ensure that controls are adequately identified and monitored
• Demonstrate commitment and attention to delivering an excellent service from the Policy & Operation Supervisory team

AVP - Credit Policy & Governance Ideal Candidate:
• Good understanding of Credit Risk Policy, Rules and Procedures, especially credit risk models and general operations and procedures in Front Office origination to execution, sell process, provision and write off under IFRS and J-GAAP
• Relevant experience with the financial industry and related markets gained within an environment where a mature operational risk process has been developed
• Excellent team worker with providing support and oversight of risk management frameworks, being comfortable with communicating with various levels in organisations both in words and in written
• Being able to demonstrate the skill to understand challenges, build new operation models and to communicate it to the senior management to get their support
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to conduct their work methodologically
• Being comfortable to discuss issues with senior staff and able to find a solution amicably
•Excellent track records of implementing business change and/or IT system projects in global organisation as a leading role
•Excellent business analysis skills and being able to be a go-to person quickly in a new field
•Flexible and collaborative to achieve a goal in complex and cross-organisational • Business level of fluency in both English and Japanese
• Excellent knowledge and experience in using big data on Excel, Access and/or RDB
• able to communicate in both English and Japanese
