WRK digital are delighted to be partnered with a leading Technical Consultancy who are looking for contract data engineers to join a new project team in Leeds.
You will be working with an expert team who are playing a huge part in ensuring their client takes full advantage of the data they capture and help build out a new Azure platform to further their capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling big data, cloud technologies, and unstructured data, along with a deep understanding of data warehouse design.
Experience* You will have good experience of Azure Data Factory and would be confident coaching existing team members who are not experienced with the tools yet.* Advanced skills in Databricks for data engineering tasks, including experience with Delta Lake, data processing, and optimization.* Proficiency in data modelling, ETL development, and data warehousing concepts.
Tech StackADF, Databricks combination building out a Lakehouse architecture and utilising DeltaLake and DeltaLive tables, Unity Catalog and Purview for the metadata capture.
Other Tooling* Azure DevOps will be used for version control and promotions between environments* JIRA will be used for task management
You will have worked in an Scrum or Agile Framework environment.
