The Role:

The Investment Reporting Services (IRS) Function is responsible for collating and distributing investment data to our internal teams, Clients and Regulators. This role represents an exciting opportunity to be part of an established Reporting Data Delivery team which sits in IRS. The Client Reporting Data Team deliver reporting and data services for M&G plc, our customers and the regulators.

Against a backdrop of significant transformation, the Client Reporting Data Team are looking to recruit an individual who can support BAU reporting data processes and ensure service levels are maintained to enable other members of the team to focus on the technological change deliveries.

The successful candidate will work with the team and stakeholders to ensure the continued delivery of effective and efficient business processes and data services, which are essential to M&Gs client servicing offering. 

Key Responsibilities Include:

Carry out operational processes for periodic reporting to clients Executing data checks and analysis on large data sets, to assure quality and resolve issues in a timely manner Identify data synergies across current regulatory reports to then build and deliver improvements to current processes, continually driving scalable, efficient and well governed business processes. Assist in ESG data sourcing for client reporting to support M&G strategic ESG ambitions. This may involve attending workshops, building processes, or supporting requirements definition for automation. To work collaboratively with colleagues and take personal accountability to maintain and enhance controls you are responsible for to support improvement of the overall control environment, customers outcomes and a reduction in M&G’s operational risk. Focus on managing early capture of reporting requirements and provide full impact analysis Proactively engage with key stakeholders, including Product Development, Compliance and Distribution To develop and use relationships with 3rd party data vendors to actively manage M&G data being represented in the market Ensure the right reporting solutions are developed for the clients to ensure that not only client requirements are met, but the principles of standardisation, scalability, and automation are met

Key Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

Strong understanding of instruments across the suite of asset classes M&G in which invest (fixed income, securitised debt, public equity, ETD & OTC derivatives, leveraged loans, private debt, private equity) Experience of a client reporting function within the asset management industry, in particular the building of complex bespoke reports. Ability to handle and manipulate large volumes of static and dynamic data Excellent analysis and problem-solving skills Strong team player with the ability to work closely with colleagues Experience of SQL would be beneficial Experience of data visualisation tools such as Power BI. Advanced Excel skills Proactive self-starter, with the ability to identify problems and follow them through to resolution
