Role Description:

As a highly skilled and motivated Chemical Engineering Data Analyst you will be responsible for analysing chemical and environmental data related to water quality, industrial processes and sustainability projects. You will work closely with our engineering and research teams to provide data-driven insights that support innovation, research and development, product design, software development, decision-making and project development.


This is a full-time hybrid role for a Chemical Engineering Data Analyst at Water Offsets Ltd in Welwyn Garden City, with flexibility for remote work for 2 out of 5 days of the week. You be responsible for conducting analytical and laboratory work, overseeing processes in the chemical industry, and communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to achieve water neutrality goals.


Qualifications

  • Analytical Skills and Laboratory Skills
  • Experience in the Chemical Industry
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Process Engineering knowledge
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field
  • Analyse complex chemical and environmental data related to water quality and treatment processes.
  • Develop and implement data models to predict and assess water quality metrics.
  • Analyse complex chemical and biological effluent characteristics and device appropriate treatment methodologies to optimise water use and re-use. 
  • Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards.


Research and Technical

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop innovative solutions for water treatment and management for industrial applications.  
  • Conduct literature reviews and data mining to support project development.
  • To use your proven experience in data analysis within chemical engineering or environmental science sectors to explore and deliver new frontiers of research and innovation.  
  • Conceptualize and initiative innovative approaches and processes in project, software and hardware design. 


Desirable or Willing to Develop Skills: Software & Data Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as MATLAB, Python, R, or similar software.  
  • Strong knowledge of chemical processes and environmental regulations.  
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis and data visualisation techniques.
  • Develop algorithms to assist with analysis of chemical processes and develop new analysis and treatment techniques.
