AlliedOffsets was created by AlliedCrowds, a data and tech firm based in London. We are expanding our product offering and are looking for the right people to help us grow.

What We Do đź‘‹

AlliedOffsets has a unique mission: combine technology, data, and finance to bring radical transparency to carbon offsetting. We do this by creating innovative data products that help to improve transparency in the market. With 30,000+ projects in our database including details about the project, carbon credits, buyers, retirements, news, brokers, resellers, prices, forward curves and much more. Our current clients include corporations, financial institutions, brokers, academia, consulting firms, public sector entities, and research organizations.

Why We Do It 📊

Carbon offsetting is becoming increasingly popular as companies and individuals around the world take a more active role in mitigating climate change. However, the market is very fragmented with (until now) no central registry for all the projects, making it difficult to know what the projects are, and how they compare with others. Our database allows a wide variety of industry actors to access information on projects across all registries, in order to make the market more transparent and available to all.

This is an excellent opportunity for a data-focused individual to join a fast-growing company at the intersection of technology, finance, and sustainability. You’ll support our data and product teams in improving the transparency and efficiency of the carbon markets. As a Data Analyst, you’ll play a key role in supporting the accuracy, consistency, and usability of the datasets that power our platform and research. You’ll contribute to essential data quality and processing workflows, and have the opportunity to explore projects across data visualisation, modelling, and areas such as artificial intelligence, natural language processing, and geospatial data, depending on your skills and interests.

This is a hands‑on role with real impact, ideal for developing your experience in SQL, Python, and data handling, while deepening your understanding of carbon markets and the broader sustainability space.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Clean and validate large datasets to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency
  • Run and support regular data quality checks and internal audits
  • Help resolve data issues and inconsistencies across platforms and sources
  • Perform manual research and data tasks as needed (e.g. reviewing project documentation, registry checks)
  • Improve and document workflows for data cleaning and standardisation
  • Assist with data visualisation and modelling tasks where appropriate
  • Contribute to cross‑team collaboration by sharing updates or findings
  • Learn about carbon credit methodologies, carbon market trends, and the structure of our datasets

Requirements

We’re looking for a motivated and detail‑oriented individual who’s excited about using data to drive climate impact. The ideal candidate will have some of the following skills or experience:

  • Experience with Python, SQL, and Excel
  • Understanding of data cleaning, transformation, and validation techniques
  • Ability to write clear documentation and communicate technical findings to non‑technical audiences
  • Experience with data visualisation tools
  • Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem‑solving
  • Passion for climate, sustainability, or environmental data, experience in carbon markets is a bonus!
  • Flexible working arrangement
  • Work for a purpose‑driven company knowing your efforts are helping to mitigate the effects of climate change and build a better world for future generations
  • Work in a collaborative environment with motivated, purpose‑driven colleagues
  • Office in central London location

Diversity & Inclusion Statement

AlliedOffsets strives to be a diverse and inclusive place where we can ALL be ourselves. No matter the visible or invisible differences, we have long been committed to fostering an environment where everyone has an equal opportunity to reach their full potential, be heard and valued.

While diversity and inclusion has long been a business priority, we know we have significant work to do and are accelerating our commitment in our workplace and community. With that said, we particularly encourage applications from people who identify as Black, Asian, or from a Minority Ethnic background.

Applications

To apply, please send your CV and two paragraphs outlining your qualifications and why you’d like to join our team to .

We’d love to hear your voice in the cover letter, so please avoid using AI tools to write it. A short, thoughtful note about why this role excites you is more valuable to us than something overly polished.

Neurodiversity in Machine Learning Careers: Turning Different Thinking into a Superpower

Machine learning is about more than just models & metrics. It’s about spotting patterns others miss, asking better questions, challenging assumptions & building systems that work reliably in the real world. That makes it a natural home for many neurodivergent people. If you live with ADHD, autism or dyslexia, you may have been told your brain is “too distracted”, “too literal” or “too disorganised” for a technical career. In reality, many of the traits that can make school or traditional offices hard are exactly the traits that make for excellent ML engineers, applied scientists & MLOps specialists. This guide is written for neurodivergent ML job seekers in the UK. We’ll explore: What neurodiversity means in a machine learning context How ADHD, autism & dyslexia strengths map to ML roles Practical workplace adjustments you can ask for under UK law How to talk about neurodivergence in applications & interviews By the end, you’ll have a clearer sense of where you might thrive in ML – & how to turn “different thinking” into a genuine career advantage.

Machine Learning Hiring Trends 2026: What to Watch Out For (For Job Seekers & Recruiters)

As we move into 2026, the machine learning jobs market in the UK is going through another big shift. Foundation models and generative AI are everywhere, companies are under pressure to show real ROI from AI, and cloud costs are being scrutinised like never before. Some organisations are slowing hiring or merging teams. Others are doubling down on machine learning, MLOps and AI platform engineering to stay competitive. The end result? Fewer fluffy “AI” roles, more focused machine learning roles with clear ownership and expectations. Whether you are a machine learning job seeker planning your next move, or a recruiter trying to build ML teams, understanding the key machine learning hiring trends for 2026 will help you stay ahead.

Machine Learning Recruitment Trends 2025 (UK): What Job Seekers Need To Know About Today’s Hiring Process

Summary: UK machine learning hiring has shifted from title‑led CV screens to capability‑driven assessments that emphasise shipped ML/LLM features, robust evaluation, observability, safety/governance, cost control and measurable business impact. This guide explains what’s changed, what to expect in interviews & how to prepare—especially for ML engineers, applied scientists, LLM application engineers, ML platform/MLOps engineers and AI product managers. Who this is for: ML engineers, applied ML/LLM engineers, LLM/retrieval engineers, ML platform/MLOps/SRE, data scientists transitioning to production ML, AI product managers & tech‑lead candidates targeting roles in the UK.
