Purpose of the Role

To own the design, accuracy, and automation of data and reporting processes across the business.
The role is central to maintaining reliable datasets, developing insightful reports and dashboards, and ensuring the organisation can make confident, data-driven decisions.
A strong command of SQL, familiarity with Zoho CRM and Zoho Analytics or other relational databases/CRMs, and working knowledge of Python is desired to deliver high-quality analytics, automation, and continuous improvement.


Key Responsibilities

  • Data Ownership & Management
  • Own the structure, integrity, and reliability of data across Zoho CRM and Zoho Analytics.
  • Design and maintain SQL queries that power core reports, dashboards, and automated workflows.
  • Ensure data quality through proactive validation, reconciliation, and exception reporting.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all business data requirements, translating stakeholder needs into robust SQL and analytics solutions.
  • Manage and document data logic, definitions, and relationships across key datasets.
  • Reporting & Insight Generation
  • Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports in Zoho Analytics to track performance across sales, operations, and finance.
  • Continuously refine SQL models to improve efficiency and accuracy of reporting.
  • Deliver ad hoc data analysis and recommendations to support operational and strategic decision-making.
  • Ensure all reports and metrics are traceable back to trusted data sources.
  • Automation & Integration
  • Use Python and APIs to automate data flows, refresh schedules, and exception alerts.
  • Build and maintain integrations between Zoho CRM, Zoho Analytics, and other data sources.
  • Simplify and streamline manual processes using automated SQL scripts and data pipelines.
  • Monitor system syncs and resolve discrepancies promptly.
  • Drive ongoing improvements in reporting efficiency, scalability, and transparency.
  • Document and maintain clear procedures for all data processes.
  • Collaborate with finance, product, and operations teams to ensure data models evolve with changing business needs.
  • Champion best practices in data governance, security, and version control.

Core Skills & Competencies

  • Expert-level SQL for data extraction, transformation, validation, and reporting.
  • Experience with Zoho CRM and Zoho Analytics (or equivalent other relational databases/CRMs).
  • Strong data modelling and analytical skills.
  • Working knowledge of Python for automation, integration, and ETL tasks.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and process documentation.
  • Problem-solving and ability to identify trends, exceptions, and anomalies.
  • Clear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Understanding of finance or commercial data (e.g., commissions, invoicing) advantageous.
