AsanAzureData Engineer, youwillbesupportingtheday-to-dayoperations, continuous improvementofSoftcat's newAzure Data Platform, which supportsthe Machine Learning Models and reporting to our internal Sales teams

About the role

As a Azure Data Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

• Developing, testing, and documenting complexpipelinesfrom a design specificationinto theAzure DataPlatform andenterprise datawarehouse
• Ensure that agreed standards and tools are utilised to achieve well-engineered outcome
• Implementing new data pipelines withinthe Azure Data Platform, using best practices such as automation,CI/CDwherever possible
• Assistingwith troubleshooting data issues,performance issues,validating result sets, recommending, andimplementing process improvements

We'd love you to have 

• Strong knowledge of the Azure platformand tooling
• In-depthSQL Serverand TSQLdatabase developmentexperiencefor on-premise data warehousing workloads
• Experience designing, coding, testing, and correcting complex SQL/ETLmodels and scripts
• Knowledge of data analysis, data modelling and quality assurancetechniques
• Possessthe ability to workautonomouslyand with others, including upskilling colleagues in cloud bestpractices
