Operations (Data Analyst) - Associate Director

PharmaReview, an IQVIA business, is looking for a data-driven, resourceful, and diligent individual to help scale our operations.

Role and Responsibilities

As Associate Director of Operations, you’ll oversee the end-to-end medical copy review service chain from an operational perspective ensuring optimal utilization of resources. You will be responsible for a diverse range of projects spanning analysis and modeling, process optimization and change management, day-to-day maintenance, and optimization of our current operational Business System Kantata. With an eye for scouting out inefficiencies and a solution-focused attitude, you’ll be constantly looking for ways to improve operations and best support our customers. You’ll champion and define our operational KPI’s and create ad hoc insight reports to drill down into specific areas of the business.

This role offers a significant opportunity to lead and shape our operations, ensuring operational excellence. Reporting to the CEO, the position is part of the senior leadership team, with whom you will work closely. Managing resourcing, you will keep a careful eye on team capacity, service quality, resource costs, and utilization rates. Working with account leads, you’ll ensure that each account team is adequately resourced, and capacity support is provided by other teams when required. Liaising with talent acquisition, training, and our medical quality and compliance team, you’ll oversee the allocation of the right resources at the right time and right place to ensure that business can scale in line with new business wins.

  • Partner directly with the leadership team on critical organizational and operational projects - both short and long term, designed to improve customer centricity, team productivity, and operational efficiency (e.g., capacity planning).
  • Build strong relationships within the wider IQVIA organization, specifically, Revenue and Operations and Talent Acquisition teams to ensure smooth collaboration, tight cross-functional alignment, and consistency when rolling out process improvements or new programs.
  • Support New Business Development opportunities: Work with new business leads to finalize resource requirements and hiring timeframes to onboard new business growth.
  • Lead end-to-end projects from scoping to execution by gathering and synthesizing data, process design, developing final recommendations, and final roll-out.
  • Ongoing quantitative and qualitative analysis of business performance – extract key insights, metrics, and trends to support daily operations, leadership KPI - MBRs.
  • Translate data into insights to action and deliver/communicate recommendations to customer leadership and the broader organization on growth opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Degree (required)
  • Master’s in business management (preferable)
  • Life Science Industry experience (preferable)
  • 5-10 years operational experience (Agency operational experience desirable)
  • Demonstrable data analyst experience to inform business recommendations and process enhancements.
  • Proven track record in operational leadership and team management.
  • Strong financial acumen.
