Position Overview:
My client is currently seeking highly motivated and qualified individuals for the positions ofAssistant Professors,Senior Lecturers, andLecturersin the following areas within the Computer Information Systems (CIS) department:
- Software Development
- Networking
- Data Science
- Cybersecurity
The successful candidates will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching, contributing to curriculum development, and supporting students in their academic and professional growth. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lectures, labs, and seminars to undergraduate and/or graduate students.
- Develop and design course materials, assignments, exams, and other educational resources.
- Provide mentorship and academic guidance to students.
- Utilize innovative teaching strategies and technologies to foster an interactive learning environment.
- Contribute to the development, review, and enhancement of the CIS curriculum.
- Ensure course content is up-to-date with current trends and technologies in the industry.
- Collaborate with industry partners to provide students with practical insights and real-world applications.
Qualifications:
- PhD (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
- Strong research background with published work in reputable journals (or a demonstrated ability to develop such work).
- Previous university teaching experience.
- Master’s degree (or higher) in a relevant field with substantial professional experience.
- Minimum of [X] years of experience in teaching or industry in the relevant field.
- Demonstrated ability to design and deliver high-quality courses.
- Master’s degree (or higher) in Software Development, Networking, Data Science, Cybersecurity, or a closely related field.
- Experience in teaching or a strong professional background in the relevant field.
Skills and Competencies:
Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Software Development:Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, C++, Full-Stack Development.
- Networking:Understanding of network protocols, security, LAN, WLAN and certifications such as CCNA, CCNP.
- Data Science:Proficiency with tools such as Python, R, SQL, and machine learning frameworks.
- Cybersecurity:Knowledge of ethical hacking, network security, encryption, and cybersecurity protocols.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
