ASSET DATA ANALYST

Contract: Government

Location: Birmingham, B37 7YN

Hours of work: 40 hours per week

Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (12 months)


We are seeking an Asset Data Analyst to support the AV DV Senior Data Analysts within the AVDV Programme.


This role plays a critical part in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and technical quality of asset and contract data, conducting detailed data reviews aligned with contract deliverables and programme requirements.


Job Description

The successful candidate will work closely with the wider team to maintain high data integrity, quality assurance standards, and adherence to statutory, engineering, and coding frameworks.


The role requires deep technical understanding of hard services, advanced Excel skills, and strong knowledge of SFG20 and Uniclass coding structures.


What you’ll be doing:

  • Support all Asset Data Management activities as agreed within the AVDV Programme.
  • Review core asset and survey data to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with contract deliverables.
  • Ensure all data complies with legal, statutory, and engineering standards, following defined data entry procedures.
  • Manage data imports and exports for asset data, maintenance job plans, planned maintenance schedules, SFG20 and non‑SFG procedures, task instructions, and planned/remedial works.
  • Maintain accurate mapping of assets, building systems, job plans, and procedures while upholding ISS coding and naming conventions.
  • Enforce strict change control and version management for all updates and improvements.
  • Prepare and quality‑assure asset collection and verification reports and datasets, ensuring completeness and data integrity.
  • Conduct QA checks on data returns to ensure compliance with contract deliverables and core data requirements.


What we’re looking for:

  • Strong MS Office skills with advanced Excel, including complex functions and formulas.
  • Advantageous: Power BI, Power Query, VBA, or macro experience.
  • Analytical mindset with strong focus on accuracy and quality assurance.
  • Experience using CAFM systems (desirable).
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Solid technical knowledge and practical experience of SFG20.
  • Self‑driven, proactive approach with the ability to operate effectively in a high‑performing team.
