Role Overview:We are seeking a Procurement Officerwithin Leidos Supply Ltd (LSL).As a Procurement Officer you willprovide commercial support and advice to both team members andother stakeholders through the letting and management of contracts.Ensuring that the necessary professional standards are maintainedfor all commercial work and further the aim of achieving the mostcost-effective procurement of requirements and deliver the benefitsrequired by Team Leidos under Logistic Commodities and Services(Transformation), following transfer from MOD in August 2015.Duties& Responsibilities:To ensure that all commercial activitywithin your area of responsibility is performed to the higheststandards, conforms to EU Procurement Regulations and LeidosPolicies and Procedures and is monitored to ensure continuousimprovement with the overall aim of obtaining best value formoneyTo proactively participate in development and implementationof Category Strategies to ensure these fully satisfy LSLrequirementsTo draft and issue ITTs/ITNs, contracts etc. and managethe associated procurement process up to and beyond contractawardTo negotiate contract terms, conditions and prices withindelegated/licensed powers for Procurement activity with a view todelivering against the Benefits Realisation PlanUndertakecontract/team administration as requiredMaintain professionalstandards and provide commercial support and advice to staff,stakeholders and customersTo effectively manage the contractswithin your responsibility by building strong working relationshipswith both contractor, customer, and colleagues where necessaryToassist in setting targets and objectives for LSL and to support andmonitor achievement against theseEnsure Commercial MI is accurateand up to date and submitted on time.To actively contribute to thedevelopment of LSL tools, processes and procedures, therebysupporting Team Leidos TransformationContinuing Professional andPersonal Development to ensure currency with EU and CommercialProcurement practices and Regulations and maximise contribution tothe businessMentor junior staff within LSL to facilitate theirpersonal and professional developmentTrained in, and fullyobservant of, Good Distribution Practice (PGD) obligations and bestpracticesSkills Required:Business/procurement/contractingexperienceGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility towork as a member of a teamNumerate and proficient in MS Word, Exceland PowerPointSkills Desired:CIPS Level 4 or abovePublic sectorcontracting knowledge and experience (including application of EURegulations)Knowledge of MoD procurement processesExperience ofusing e-procurement toolsFull Driving License to facilitatesupplier visits Clearance Requirements:BPSS Pre-screeningrequired to StartLeidos UK!
