Job description:
We have an opportunity for a Aerodynamics Software Engineer to join the Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role, you will be working within a group of software engineers to develop new and existing applications and tools to support the complete aerodynamic development process, including wind tunnel testing, CFD, correlation, and design. We aspire to be the absolute best in every aspect of our team. What you will be doing:

  1. Develop and create the latest generation of aerodynamic analysis tools.
  2. Work closely with aerodynamic engineers to improve the ease of understanding complex data.
  3. Apply experience and knowledge to help set future directions and trends in data analysis and data visualization.
  4. Define the user interface in terms of presentation and interaction with the data from a wide range of engineering data sources.
  5. Produce high-performance and well-designed data access tools and APIs to be used by other existing systems.
  6. Complete design, code, test, release, and maintenance of data analysis applications.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. A degree in a relevant discipline (Computer Science or Mathematics) or similar.
  2. Has a minimum of 2 years relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within the motorsport industry.
  3. Good knowledge of software architecture and patterns.
  4. Excellent programming skills, ideally with Python, MATLAB, C++, C#, and be able to write clean and testable code with an emphasis on maintainability.
  5. Knowledge of other technologies such as SQL servers.
  6. Experience with data organization and repository creation using appropriate database and file architecture.
  7. Experience in the development and deployment of AI and Machine Learning based systems.
  8. Able to perform duties in a timely manner with minimal errors.
  9. Communicate effectively with key stakeholders/directors.
  10. Clear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of email.
  11. Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  12. Positively contribute to an open and inclusive culture.
