About The Job
Our Reserving team has a key position in our evolving business. The team is pivotal to our financial and regulatory reporting and crucial to providing insight on our business performance. High quality and comprehensive data is a key part of these processes.
The team are involved in data processing, discussions with stakeholders, projections and analysis that underpins the work of the team. The role requires bringing together sound technical knowledge on the data requirements for reserving processes and provide support to the Reserving team.
What you’ll spend your time doing:
Here’s a snapshot of some of the key parts of the job:
Ensure data that feeds into reserving processes are robust Understand existing issues with data feeding into reserving processes Communicate data remediations required by the Reserving team to IT developers Document business requirements to instruct change into the small change portfolio Document and carry out user acceptance testing to ensure changes made to central data systems are suitable for reserving purposes Provide support to the reserving team when changes are made to systems upstream Work with the reserving, data and operations teams to ensure robust data controls are implemented in automated ways and appropriate reporting is available to ensure any defects are flagged Work with the reserving, data and operations teams to develop testing capabilities Engage with other business areas to define outputs required by the Reserving team Work with the data and operations teams to ensure all data processing and associated systems specifications are clearly documented

What you’ll need:
For this particular role we need you to have:
Experience in an actuarial role considering appropriate analysis and solving problems (does not have to be in reserving) Familiarity with the data requirements for reserving exercises Good logical reasoning skills coupled with commercial acumen Excellent communication skills
