One of my key clients is a leading innovator in the field of electric vehicle (EV) technology, dedicated to creating sustainable transportation solutions for a greener future. They're committed to pushing the boundaries of EV technology and delivering cutting-edge solutions that redefine the automotive industry. As they continue to grow and expand they're seeking 3 talented and experienced Senior EV Battery Systems Engineers to join their dynamic team.


Position Overview: I am looking for a highly skilled Senior EV Battery System Engineer who will play a key role in the design, development, and optimization of EV battery systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in battery engineering, with expertise in battery cell selection, pack design, thermal management, and system integration. As a Senior Engineer, you will lead cross-functional teams, drive innovation, and ensure the successful delivery of high-performance, reliable, and cost-effective battery solutions.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead the design and development of EV battery systems from concept to production, ensuring compliance with performance, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, and software engineers, to integrate battery systems into vehicle platforms.
  • Conduct performance testing, validation, and optimization of battery systems to meet performance targets for range, efficiency, and durability.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance battery system performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in EV battery engineering.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in EV battery system engineering, with a focus on battery cell selection, pack design, thermal management, and system integration.
  • Proficiency in battery modelling, simulation, and analysis tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS, etc.).
  • Strong understanding of battery chemistries, materials, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with automotive industry standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 26262, UN ECE R100, etc.).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
