Responsibilities Theposition requires a passion for science and engineering, pairedwith an ability to produce production-ready solutions while workingclosely with both product and research teams. As a SafeIntelligence Senior Python Engineer, you will: - Play a leadershipand mentoring role in Python package and code development includingstrong modelling of best practice and efficient procedures. -Productise a set of Python packages and tools for use in machinelearning applications that build on powerful algorithms developedby the research team. - Contribute towards making verification androbust-learning algorithms scalable and more efficient, anddeveloping a clean, well-organised code-base that supports our goalof making these methods intuitive and easy to use by the widercommunity. - Work closely with the platform team to interface andcontainerise the packages and toolkits for scalable deployment. -Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in Pythondevelopment and actively contribute to the team's technicalknowledge base. Qualifications The technical requirements for therole are: - Extensive professional experience as a Python-baseddeveloper. - Experience with modern Python development techniquesand design patterns. - Experience developing highly parallelisedapplications using the multiprocessing library, including memorymanagement. - Experience with widely used tools in data science andmachine learning. Developers should be somewhat familiar withlibraries like NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, and PyTorch. -Proficiency in testing approaches and frameworks like pytest aswell as automation tools like Github Actions or Travis CI formaintaining code quality and continuous integration/continuousdeployment (CI/CD) pipelines. - Advanced proficiency with codemaintenance tools and best practice, including Git and configuringworkflows. Additional beneficial experience includes: - Experienceusing webhooks for real-time data delivery for use in communicationbetween toolkits and platform. - Familiarity with CUDA andoptimising highly parallelised GPU-based computations are a plus. -Familiarity with the end-to-end supervised training of neuralnetworks and accompanying MLOps ecosystem are a plus. - Familiaritywith other programming languages and frameworks At a personallevel, we’re also looking for someone who is: - Passionate aboutdelivering software to realise safe AI solutions in line withclient needs. - Deeply technical and constantly in a state oflearning. - Able to communicate clearly and efficiently with avariety of audiences, including developers, clients, researchers,partners, and executives. - Fearless in getting "hands-on" withtechnology and execution. - Has a strong understanding of modernsoftware engineering processes. - Comfortable with ambiguity with adrive for clarity. - Collaborative with and respectful of others onthe team. - Honest, straightforward, and caring about each other’swell-being.
