This presents anopportunity for Technology Consulting to support our clients inhelping them to articulate their technology and data strategy andimplement their transformations by harnessing the power of theirdata, identifying business enabling technology tools andcapabilities and streamlining their technology estates. Inrecent years we have helped investment banks improve theircompliance with regulations such as the Basel 3 RegulatoryFramework, FRTB and BCBS 239, and prepare for upcoming regulationaround Liquidity and Interest Rate Risk and supporting our clientsin leverage how to deploy AI in their businesses responsibly. As welook to the future prudential regulation will increasingly have aClimate Risk component, and EY have been recognised as leaders inESG and sustainability consulting. We also help banks to becomemore profitable, either by developing new revenue streams, orcrucially, by reducing costs. While we predominantly serve the UKmarket, our clients are global, and we collaborate extensively withour fellow capital markets teams in EMEIA, the US and APAC. Yourkey responsibilities There are multiple aspects of the role: *Engagement delivery: roles vary from engagement to engagement, butare likely to include techno-functional analysis, solution and dataarchitecture, solution design, and end to end implementationmanagement. * Solution development: contributing in a number ofways to the solutions that we bring to market to address the needsof our client. This could entail research, design of prototypes,software engineering and testing. * Business development: weencourage the development of long-term trusted advisorrelationships with our clients at an early stage in your career.You will also work on proposals and, from time to time, supportthought leadership that we issue to the market. Investment bankingskills * Strong understanding of Risk Transformation and FinancialRisk and Non-Financial Risk business process. * Strong productknowledge, with the ability to face off to risk functions and frontoffice in particular. * Knowledge of regulations - Basel 3Framework, Basel IV, CRR II / CRD V and FRTB, would be valuable. *A demonstrable interest in the digitisation of investment banks,especially the Risk Technology landscape. * Understanding of thecapital markets ecosystem (sell side, buy side, FMIs, serviceproviders, vendors). * Financial risk management skills andknowledge of systems and data to support the industry respond to UKand European regulation to manage climate risk. * A point of viewon how the investment banking industry will continue to evolve andhow the technology, innovation and FinTech landscape will shape thefuture. Technical skills * Large scale programme delivery (Agile,DevOps, waterfall) - SCRUM qualifications would be beneficial. *Experience of using agile delivery tools such as JIRA, Pivotal,Collab, Confluence. * Experience of engineering based on the likesof SQL, SSIS, Python, Java, Scala, XML/FpML and Power BI. *Solution architecture (Business, Functional, Technical). * Dataarchitecture, data lineage including an understanding of AI. *Integration architecture. * Testing/quality engineering; experienceof test automation will be beneficial. * Process Automation, BPMand Digital Platforms, e.g. Pega. * Cloud technology (knowledge ofany or all of Azure, AWS and Google would be beneficial).Experience of handling information security and privacy challenges.Interest and awareness in emerging technologies. * Experience ofvendor packages. The following are of particular interest: Anappreciation of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.Academic and prior experience * A university degree, 2:1 (orequivalent) or above is usually preferred, however we would be opento outstanding candidates who may have followed an alternativeacademic path.
