About The Role

Infrastructure Delivery at National Grid is responsible for executing major projects that strengthen and expand the UK’s energy network. This includes delivering critical infrastructure—such as substations and transmission lines—that ensures the safe, efficient, and reliable distribution of electricity and gas across the country.


As a Graduate Digital and Data Analyst, you’ll be at the heart of our digital transformation, helping to unlock the power of data to improve project delivery and operational efficiency. You’ll support initiatives like the Great Grid Upgrade, which is central to National Grid’s mission to connect more clean, low‑carbon power to homes and businesses across England and Wales.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Collecting, managing, and analysing data to support infrastructure project planning and delivery.
  • Developing digital tools and platforms to improve project management, reporting, and data visualisation.
  • Automating workflows to reduce manual tasks and enhance productivity.
  • Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Creating dashboards and performance metrics to provide real‑time insights into project progress, costs, and resource utilisation.
  • Identifying opportunities to apply new technologies and methodologies to improve project outcomes.
  • Ensuring data integrity and compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Supporting a data‑driven culture across Infrastructure Delivery by promoting best practices in digital innovation.

Graduate Programme

As you’ll be joining our 18‑month graduate programme, you’ll have a tailored development pathway to support you as you develop a wide range of leadership, business, and technical skills. You’ll attend in‑person and virtual development sessions throughout your programme. All graduates complete the core development programme to develop key skills such as how to make an impact, giving feedback and presentation skills. Aligned to our IT & Digital pathway you’ll develop your IT technical skills including AGILE and Scrum. You’ll also gain important insights in engineering and electricity to broaden your understanding of our business and industry. You will complete three 6‑month placements across the UK, designed to deepen your understanding of your speciality and broaden your knowledge of our business. At the end of your 18‑month programme you’ll return to your initial placement area to kickstart your superpowered career.


Location

This role is based in Warwick and may offer hybrid working, where possible.


What You’ll Get In Return

We are proud to offer a graduate starting salary of £36,640.

  • £2,000 bonus, once joined and started on programme

  • £2,400 payment on successful completion of the programme
  • Up to £200 per month accommodation allowance as you move around the business, and additional annual leave for when you move between placements plus assistance with moving personal belongings

What You’ll Need to Apply

You’ll need to achieve, or be working towards, a minimum 2:2 degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics or Statistics. It doesn’t matter when you graduated or if you are currently working towards your qualification. We just need you to be eager to apply your knowledge in a real‑world setting.


Assessment Centres

Assessment centres will be held between November – April 2026.
