Description Senior Test EngineerWe are looking for anexperienced Senior Test Engineer with specific integration andverification knowledge to join our team and help us deliver ongoingsystems integration projects.  As part of an integrated teamthe successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery ofkey I&V activities.The Senior Test Engineer will work work withcustomers, suppliers and our I&V engineers to plan and managethe design, creation and execution of system integration tests. Thesuccessful candidate will need to have broad systems testexperience.This is an opportunity to work on an exciting programmedelivering critical infrastructure key to the future of UK NationalSecurity. Key responsibilities:Lead a small team to delivertesting in a key part of the programme ensuring milestones are meton time and to sufficient quality.Work within the I&Vleadership team to manage the delivery of I&V services on theprogramme including addressing issues, resourcing, planning andreporting.Review requirements & design documents and seekclarification where appropriate to identify full scope oftesting.Create and review test plans and test designs, working withthird party suppliers to ensure requirements coverage.Create,review and optimise Testing Processes.Document test results anddefectsProduce Test Reports and report on interimprogress.Essential Skills and Experience:Test experience with ISTQBFoundation Certificate in software testing) and experience within alead role.Excellent understanding of the Testing Lifecycle and thedifferent types of testing such as Functional and IntegrationTesting.Demonstrable Systems Integration experience includingintegrating 3rd party systems or components.Experience of takingownership and driving delivery of testing projects.Able tounderstand existing Test Process and identify improvements andefficiencies.Experience of creating Test Cases based onrequirements and design documents.Strong oral and writtencommunication skills – ability to communicate with technical andnon-technical team members.Self-motivated and willing to speak tocolleagues to find out missing information;Ability to identify,troubleshoot and debug issues across interfaces;Ability to analyseand review test evidence from suppliers;Enthusiastic, proactive,troubleshooting attitude with a willingness to learn newtechnologies;Desired Skills and Experience:Working with large-scaleand complex integration programmes;Good time management andorganisational skills – ability to work with minimal supervisionand direct others to do the same.Knowledge of Service OrientedArchitecture.Experience with virtualisedproducts/services/solutionsFamiliar with high-integrity orsafety-related real-time systems;Knowledge of test automationconcepts such as keyword driven framework;DOORS, JIRA and HPQC(ALM) experience or equivalent tools;Typical Minimum Education& Experience:Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in arelated discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education,with considerable professional experience, or some professionalexperience with a related Masters degree, or no experience requiredwith a related PhD or JD.
