An opportunity to join a fast-growing issuance platform in the exchange traded product (ETP) space run by successful entrepreneurs within the finance world. The current team has launched the world’s first centrally cleared exchange traded product backed by bitcoin on Deutsche Börse XETRA in June 2020 and has since then launched additional products like the world first basket ETP on an MSCI index. The company is among the biggest specialised asset managers in the world focusing purely on cryptoassets and crypto-equities.

About the Company:
They are setting the gold standard in institutional-grade exchange traded products that provide access to the digital asset and the blockchain ecosystem. As a company, they have launched the world’s first centrally cleared Bitcoin exchange traded product on Deutsche Börse XETRA, the largest ETF trading venue in Europe, and have since been at the forefront of digital asset management innovation. They are currently one of the biggest crypto asset managers worldwide and currently manage around 2.0 bn USD in cryptoassets and crypto-related equities in Europe. The whole company manages around 12 bn USD in client assets across the globe.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Overview: An opportunity to join one of the most renowned companies in the global cryptoasset ETP business.
The Data Analyst will be at the forefront of the company and cryptoasset markets by providing market-relevant content for our investors, newsletter readers, and the wider public on social media.
The reports published by the Bitwise research team are read by thousands of investors on a weekly basis and you will contribute to these publications with your analyses and insights. The research formats cover a wide range of reports from weekly reports to special reports on crypto-related topics.
The Data Analyst will be able to research cryptoasset markets via quantitative data analyses. Therefore, any prior knowledge of programming and data science is essential.
The Data Analyst will assist and report to the Head of Research in this role and will regularly take ownership and responsibility for professional quantitative analyses that will be made available to the wider public.

Role Requirements:
Minimum undergraduate university degree in economics, finance, computer science, data science or related field
Must have a minimum of 2 years working experience in crypto, asset management or related field
Minimum intermediate knowledge about MS Office applications like Word, Power Point and Excel
Must have intermediate programming skills (R preferred)
Working experience with the Bloomberg terminal and the usage of APIs
English and foreign language proficiency (preferably German or Italian)

Major plus:
Knowledge and understanding of major cryptoassets such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, or Solana
Foreign language proficiency (preferably German or Italian)
