Job Purpose

We’re looking for a Technical Analyst to join out Regulatory Services Team. In this role, you’ll help make sure our Water and Wastewater Services meet important environmental and customer performance standards.

You’ll be part of a team that plays a key role in collecting and reporting data, supporting both day-to-day operations and longer-term goals. Working closely with teams across the business-including Environmental Services and Operations-you’ll also build relationships with external partners such as regulators and other water companies.

This is a role where teamwork, attention to detail, and good communication are essential. You’ll need to manage different tasks and priorities-sometimes at short notice-and support your colleagues by sharing insights and offering practical solutions.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Working closely with other Technical Analysts to meet reporting deadlines and send the right data and updates to our regulators.
  • Supporting continuous improvement and encouraging new, better ways of working.
  • Helping deliver actions that improve our performance across different regions.
  • Creating and helping deliver clear briefing materials that share best practices and performance updates with our operational teams.
  • Providing technical advice and support to on-the-ground teams when needed.
  • Helping gather the right information the business plans, reviews and other planning processes.

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Good operational understanding of environmental permits and the regulatory environment.
  • Confidence in working with data: collecting, analysing and using it to support decisions and reporting.
  • Familiarity with key business systems and how to use them effectively.
  • Strong planning & organisational skill, with the ability to manage your own time and help others stay on track.
  • Confidence working under pressure and making decisions independently when needed.
  • The ability to work well with people at all levels, both in and outside the organisation.
