This role is categorized as onsite, requiring the candidate to report to Concord, NC on a full-time basis.

The Role

Seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join the Aero Innovation team within the Motorsports Aerodynamic Department. Responsible for developing complex data pipelines to support aerodynamics development for motorsport and high-performance vehicles. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design, develop, and optimize solutions addressing technical challenges, contributing to our competitiveness.

What You’ll Do

  • Architect, design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for large volumes of data.
  • Integrate data from various platforms and systems (on-prem and cloud).
  • Ensure data integrity, quality, and consistency through automated validation and monitoring.
  • Optimize data processing workflows for performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into data solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.
  • Prepare and present technical reports and specifications to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field.
  • 5+ years in data engineering or related industry experience.
  • Proficiency in Python, C++, Java.
  • Experience with Kafka, Flink, Databricks.
  • Knowledge of distributed systems like SLURM, LSF.
  • Experience with relational and non-relational databases (SQL, MongoDB).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Strong analytical skills and troubleshooting ability.
  • Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in related fields.
  • Experience in motorsports industry.
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, security.
  • Experience with HPC architecture, instrumentation, and Data Acquisition systems.
  • Developing Live Streaming data pipelines and understanding aerodynamic testing.
