This is an opportunity for a Data Scientist to play a key role in building Machine Learning and AI Solutions for an Insurance client, leveraging cutting-edge MS Azure technologies. The successful candidate will have commercial experience leading a team or working independently.

Responsibilities

  • Take a lead role in the design and development of machine learning models, including propensity models and recommender engines.
  • Build predictive modelling solutions.
  • Help clients realise the potential of data science, machine learning, and scaled data processing within the Azure ecosystem.
  • Ownership for the delivery of core solution component.
  • Manage the design and delivery of the data architecture.
  • Communicate and present findings and recommendations to stakeholders and customers.
  • Work directly with clients to understand requirements and present solutions to customer sponsor.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Microsoft Azure expertise primarily using Azure Machine Learning.
  • Extensive experience with Azure ML Studio, ML Flow, Databricks, Propensity Models and Recommender engines.
  • Strong commercial experience creating predictive models, statistical analysis, and pricing analysis.
  • Working with large data sets (real time, storage) from various data sources.
  • Writing and reviewing data science code, proficient in Python, C#, SQL, R, or other programming languages for data analysis and machine learning.
  • A background in data science or data engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong appetite to work closely with customers.

Additional Information

  • Rate: £500-550 (dependent on experience)
  • IR35: Outside
  • Start date: July
  • Initial Duration: 3-month initial sign up
  • Location: Remote with occasional travel onsite in Basingstoke.
  • All applicants must be based in the UK and have the right to work.
