Company Description

Ready to join a team that's leading the way in reshaping the future of insurance? Here at esure Group, we are on a mission to revolutionise insurance for good!

We’ve been providing Home and Motor Insurance since 2000, with over 2 million customers trusting us to keep them covered through our esure and Sheilas’ Wheels brands. With a bold commitment for digital innovation, we're transforming the way the industry operates and putting customers at the heart of everything we do.

Having completed our recent multi-year digital transformation, we’re now leveraging advanced technology and data-driven insights alongside exceptional service, to deliver personalised experiences that meet our customers ever-changing needs today and in the future.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting for multiple graduate opportunities across our Pricing department. It’s a hugely exciting time to join us as we continue to strive to be a market leading, data driven and digital business. If you have a mathematical mindset, outstanding statistical and analytical skills, love to get into the detail of things and can use data to tell a story, we want to hear from you!

Being a part of the Pricing department means you will actively support us in delivering changes to prices and underwriting criteria across esure’s motor and home insurance products. You will assist in delivering pricing initiatives that really make our pricing and rating capabilities market leading. You will learn how to use marketing leading insurance software including Radar and Emblem whilst also building upon your statistical software skills by using software such as SAS and Python.

Read below to find out what our Head of Portfolio Pricing, Draganco Trpcevski, has to say about our graduate opportunities:

“ By joining the pricing team at esure you'll be at the centre of some of the key decision making within the company, giving you a great opportunity to effect change. Depending on your appetite you could get stuck into risk premium modelling (e.g. the likelihood of a customer claiming) using industry leading software and data science techniques. Alternatively help support and design our portfolio level pricing strategies (where should we grow, what does future profitability look like and its sensitivities to key assumptions about the future). Or you could work with people across the company to create new propositions for us to take to market.

There's also no reason why you can't do all of the above as we support rotations around the team to support the development into a future pricing leader”

Qualifications

What we’d love you to bring:

A degree in a mathematical / statistical subject and someone who wants to kick start their career in the Pricing space.
A curiosity for data with phenomenal statistical and analytical skills.
Outstanding mathematical and numeracy skills.
Strong intermediate Excel skills - someone who can manipulate, clean and present data.

Logical approach to problem solving, attention to detail and great organisation skills.
An excellent communicator with who can explain complex concepts in an accessible way for non-technical audiences.

Additional Information

The Interview Process (subject to change):

This will be a 1.5 interview with 2 senior members of our Pricing team. This will include competency style based questions alongside some technical questions focused on your pre interview research of the Insurance industry.

Machine Learning Jobs Skills Radar 2026: Emerging Tools, Frameworks & Platforms to Learn Now

Machine learning is no longer confined to academic research—it's embedded in how UK companies detect fraud, recommend content, automate processes & forecast risk. But with model complexity rising and LLMs transforming workflows, employers are demanding new skills from machine learning professionals. Welcome to the Machine Learning Jobs Skills Radar 2026—your annual guide to the top languages, frameworks, platforms & tools shaping machine learning roles in the UK. Whether you're an aspiring ML engineer or a mid-career data scientist, this radar shows what to learn now to stay job-ready in 2026.

How to Find Hidden Machine Learning Jobs in the UK Using Professional Bodies like BCS, Turing Society & More

Machine learning (ML) continues to transform sectors across the UK—from fintech and retail to healthtech and autonomous systems. But while the demand for ML engineers, researchers, and applied scientists is growing, many of the best opportunities are never posted on traditional job boards. So, where do you find them? The answer lies in professional bodies, academic-industry networks, and tight-knit ML communities. In this guide, we’ll show you how to uncover hidden machine learning jobs in the UK by engaging with groups like the BCS (The Chartered Institute for IT), Turing Society, Alan Turing Institute, and others. We’ll explore how to use member directories, CPD events, SIGs (Special Interest Groups), and community projects to build connections, gain early access to job leads, and raise your professional profile in the ML ecosystem.

How to Get a Better Machine Learning Job After a Lay-Off or Redundancy

Redundancy in machine learning can feel especially frustrating when your role was technically advanced, strategically important, or AI-facing. But the UK still has strong demand for machine learning professionals across fintech, healthtech, retail, cybersecurity, autonomous systems, and generative AI. Whether you're a research-oriented ML engineer, production-focused MLOps developer, or applied scientist, this guide is designed to help you bounce back from redundancy and find a better opportunity that suits your goals.
