Data Scientist

Salary: £70,000Location: UK-based

A high-growth, data-driven company is seeking a hands-on, commercially minded Data Scientist to lead the development of intelligent matching algorithms, predictive models, and advanced recommendation systems.

This is a strategic individual contributor role where you'll own high-impact projects from design to deployment and shape the future of search technology for some of the biggest names in private equity.

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience: 5+ years in data science roles, preferably in fast-moving or early-stage environments
  • Languages & Tools:
    • Strong Python (Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch)
    • Advanced SQL
    • AWS
    • MLOps tooling (e.g., MLflow, SageMaker, or similar)
  • Bonus Points For:
    • Knowledge of LLMs, RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, or agentic interfaces
    • Experience with data warehouse tools (Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery)
    • Familiarity with search, matching, or recommendation systems
  • Soft Skills: Independent, highly communicative, and comfortable working directly with senior leadership and commercial stakeholders
