A specialist data consultancy is seeking aData Science Manager- a creative, technically strong, and commercially minded expert - to play a key role in shaping the future of AI and data science delivery.


This is an exciting opportunity to work at the cutting edge of machine learning and generative AI, addressing real-world business challenges. With the freedom to innovate and the support of a collaborative and expanding team, you'll have the chance to create something impactful from the ground up.


Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineering and MLOps teams to develop scalable, robust, and production-ready solutions
  • Design and deliver data science and GenAI solutions that drive tangible value for clients
  • Act as a trusted advisor, translating complex business needs into technical solutions using a tailored mix of ML and GenAI techniques
  • Identify opportunities for added value and innovation within client engagements
  • Cultivate strong client relationships through clear, consultative communication and dependable delivery
  • Lead discovery sessions and workshops to explore client pain points and shape tailored strategies
  • Mentor and develop internal talent, supporting skills growth and capability building
  • Represent the consultancy at industry events and contribute thought leadership through articles, blog posts, and strategic insights
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement


Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated expertise in data science and AI, with a strong portfolio of successful ML and GenAI project delivery
  • Practical experience in building, deploying, and maintaining production-grade models
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders
  • Hands-on experience with LLMs, vector databases, RAG pipelines, prompt engineering, and model fine-tuning
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (especially Azure), and tools such as Databricks, Hugging Face, LangChain, and open-source GenAI frameworks
  • Deep curiosity and a passion for staying ahead of AI and data science developments
  • Commercial acumen and a focus on delivering value-led outcomes
  • Entrepreneurial drive to lead and scale a high-impact function
