About the Role:

Liberty Special Markets is building a London based engineering team specializing in data and analytics for a fortune company. The Senior Data Engineer will part of a new agile team of 4-6 data engineers. The candidate should show a passion for putting people first through teamwork, mentoring, and demonstrated expertise. Key Responsibilities:
•Develop ETL to move data from source to data lake to mart. • Dig into existing datasets, develop an understanding of the data, and collaborate with MI analysts to develop solutions. • Build and support new AWS native cloud data products. Experience with Snowflake as our future target environment is a plus. • Deliver data to presentation layers to power reporting and analytics across our global organization • Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and developers to ensure alignment between requirements and data solutions.
Background with: • SQL • Data Modelling • ETL Pipelines • Data Warehousing / Data Lake • Data Privacy Controls • Regional Data Controls (GDPR, PDPA) Skills and Experience: • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical discipline • Experience in AWS services, e.g. EC2, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, Redshift, Lambda, API Gateway • Snowflake as a future target state for our data warehouse • Strong SQL skills for complex data queries and transformations • Typescript, Python programming for data processing and analysis • Strong acumen for application health through performance monitoring, logging, and debugging
