Location:London Television Centre (Hybrid)
Length: ASAP – Jan 2026
Rate:£350 to £400 per day
Hours: 9am – 6pm (35 hours)

Job Description: 
The Business Intelligence team is responsible for providing information and recommendations to the advertising sales business which support and help challenge its commercial activities. This is achieved through the provision and analysis of data, as well as through regular communication with key stakeholders both within BBC Studios, the BBC group and the external market.
Reporting to the Business Intelligence Manager, this role will focus on providing actionable insights that drive revenue growth and support strategic decision making. You’ll work closely with Sales, Strategy, Marketing, Product, Operations and Finance teams, delivering high-quality reporting, analysis, and market intelligence and supporting various commercial strategy projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical skills and a passion for media, advertising, and data storytelling.
This is a 6-month position based in our London office with flexible working.

Core Responsibilities:

Sales Performance Reporting: Producing and distributing core sales and performance reports, including tracking revenue, sales pipeline and forecasting metrics.


Sales Pipeline Management: Monitoring the CRM (Salesforce) and ensuring proper usage and accurate reporting across the sales team.
Dashboard Management: Collecting business requirements, designing reporting outputs and using Tableau to equip teams with accessible, insightful dashboards
Market Intelligence and Benchmarking: Conducting competitor and market research, including tracking advertising trends, benchmarks, and audience behavior to support sales strategy.
Data Quality: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems and reports
Ad Hoc Analysis: Support the BI team and wider business with tailored analytical projects as needed.
Finance support: Working with our partners to ensure payments are made promptly and for the correct amount

Essential Skills:

Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or commercial reporting role, ideally within a media, digital, or advertising environment.


Ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong technical skills and proficiency in Excel and Tableau (data manipulation and visualisation)
Able to collaborate and build relationships with the immediate team and with colleagues in wider teams such as Sales, Operations and Finance
Attention to detail and sense checking insights or analysis produced
Comfortable and confident communicating insights to relevant stakeholders
Ability to navigate complex reporting systems

Essential experience:

Experience in a data analytics role


Graduate or equivalent qualification required
IT skills including PowerPoint, Word, Google sheets and Teams

Preferred experience:

Experience in management reporting, automation and business forecasting


Familiarity with CRM software (preferably Salesforce)
Experience with data transformation processes using software or code Alteryx, SQL
Familiarity with the media and advertising industry, especially digital marketing
Exposure to performance analytics tools, Google Ad Manager
